OLD CANAL COFFEE CO.

Coffee of The Americas

Brazil Daterra Sweet Blue
Daterra Farms is a large operation which produces a variety of coffees on its plantations. We just started carrying the Sweet Blue. It is typical of all of the Daterra farms production in that the green beans are some of the cleanest and most uniform we see. The green coffee comes to us vacuum packed in foil bags which is very unusual. Our Sweet Blue is a low acid, full-bodied coffee with chocolate hints. This is fine example of Daterra's efforts. Rainforest Alliance Certified. Roasted to a Full City (Medium) Roast.

Brazil Santos
Brazil is the world's largest producer of coffee, much of which is not highly regarded. But, Brazil is also a producer of some very excellent coffees. Our Santos is one of those. It is mild, yet full-bodied. It can be enjoyed anytime. We use this wonderfully consistent Santos as the base for many of our flavored coffees and we use it in some of our blends for its body and ability to bind more piquant aromas together. Roasted to a New England (Light) Roast.

Guatemala Antigua Sereno
Guatemalan coffee is revered as one of the most flavorful and nuanced cups in the world. Due to our proximity to Guatemala, some of the finest coffees from this origin come to the United States. Guatemalan growing regions vary in their potential cup quality: many have sufficient altitude, soil and climate conditions. Antiguas are well-known and highly rated. This genuine Antigua Sereno is a fine example from the volcano rich soil of that region. Nice body with full-on bright cup with spice. Lightly roasted to bring out the these qualities in the cup.
